Mission Critical Communications (MCX) Technical White Paper

The Mission Critical Communications (MCX) Technical White Paper was led by the China Mobile Research Institute and published by CMI Thinktank, in collaboration with industry partners including POCSTARS, Huawei, ZTE, Hytera, Nokia, and Eastcom.

The document provides a comprehensive overview of China’s MCX technology development, standardization roadmap, and ecosystem collaboration. It introduces the “1+4+2+N” technical framework and highlights applications of MCX in public safety, transportation, energy, and emergency response.

The white paper serves as a key reference for advancing MCX standardization and industrial deployment in the 5G-A and future 6G eras.
