Beijing Winter Olympics Security Forces Push-to-talk with POCSTARS Solution
POCSTARS, a world leading Push-to-talk over Cellular (PoC) solution provider, has been selected as a communications technology provider for the General Armed Police Corps of Hebei Province, the major force to safeguard the Winter Olympics venues, such as Chongli Stadium and Guyangshu Ski Resort in Zhangjiakou City. The Beijing Winter Olympic Games will be officially greeting the world on February 4, 2022.
To ensure the complete fulfilment of responsibility they were assigned to, Hebei Armed Police chose POCSTARS’ latest version PoC communications and management platform in October 2021. The system supports a long list of features, including private call, group call, temporary call, priority call, interrupt or forced call, positioning, track playback, temporary enable and disable, SOS alert, text and multimedia messages, video streaming, private and conference video call, video recording, etc.
The deployment was divided into two phases. During the first phase, POCSTARS PoC platform was subjected to numerous interoperability tests along with a lot of different communications devices; POCSTARS team did an excellent job in delivering all the software adaption timely. All the PoC user and admin accounts have been set up and handed to the customer. With the first phase completed, POCSTARS is now finetuning the system, in which dedicated PoC radios and smartphones finally chosen by Hebei Armed Police will operate.
